FCA UK Cricket Academy programmes
The Cricket Academy programme provides County Cricket Clubs, Regional Cricket Clubs and Senior cricket clubs with an education, community, and full-time cricket programme for 16-18 year-olds.
The education pathways into both playing and coaching will allow each student an opportunity to play at the highest standards through the professional coaching programme, as well as achieve academically through our first-class educational model.
In addition, there will be opportunities for aspiring cricketers to gain nationally recognised coaching qualifications and work within the club’s development programmes in schools and local cricket clubs.
Students who would like to achieve a BTEC Level 3 qualification, NVQ in Activity Leadership, and ECB Coaching Qualifications and are aged between 16-18 will have the opportunity to pursue these options within our programme.
In regards to employment, our programme would possibly lead to a career as a cricketer, a cricket coach and/or opportunities to work in other sports related fields.
Benefits for Cricket Clubs-
- Engages learners to develop transferable skills in education and coaching as well as learning skills that could lead to employment.
- Provide a valuable revenue stream and develop learners to engage in the club and the community programmes.
- Develops strong community links with the cricket club and the local community and facilitates excellent educational and employability opportunities through playing cricket in a full-time practical-based sport and education scheme.
We are now looking to expand our Cricket Academy programmes. If your club would like more information about the programme and what we can offer to your cricket club, please contact Keith Levett at email@example.com
